Memoirs of a Challenged Mind
5. Jan, 2015
The abandoned empty vessel floats stricken in the fog,
The only evidence left is a ghost and captain’s log.
It’s pounded by the elements of nature’s destructive hand,
Left to flounder on the shore of a distant foreign land!
A spineless chunk of driftwood, smashed far beyond repair,
The frailties of nature, a spirit in despair!
How do you rebuild a vessel out of shattered, broken dreams?
When battered at the mercy of life’s formidable extremes.
For one can only take so much the wrath of an angry sea,
Without dreaming of beyond and a desire to be free!
Stormy seas still linger, dark clouds gather all around,
The empty vessel forsaken, a mere wreck that’s run aground!
