He's a loving and loyal hard-working man,
A devoted and kind husband and always at hand.
He is the life in my limbs and the breath in my lungs,
The reason I'm still here, my hero unsung.
My two baby boys are growing up fast,
Coping with life's lessons that illness can cast.
They seem to respond to unconditional love,
And somehow to adversity they rise above.
My first born is gentle, loyal, faithful and kind,
Into manhood he embarks where he's sure to shine.
My second born is passionate about the things he adores,
He is generous and considerate, talented and more.
My devoted dog Kai is now a therapy pet,
He's enriched the lives of all the people he's met.
I couldn't write about family being by my side,
Without mentioning my mother whose been along for the ride.
She's been my sounding board beside me surfing every wave,
And has helped me from drowning in a deep watery cave.
If there is one thing for certain that I know without doubt,
If it wasn't for my family it'd be innings "all out"!
